High School Coach Arrested for Sexual Misconduct FLINT, MI - Steve Fissure began this season as the women's high school basketball coach at Elmer High. Last week, Steve Fissure was indicted on charges of sexual misconduct stemming from his repeated attempts to shower with the team. Defending himself, Fissure explained, "it was all very innocent. I was out of soap. I just stepped in to borrow a Dove bar." The Elmer High players claim that Fissure asked several girls to diagram plays on his back in soap suds. Several girls reported that Fissure refused to leave saying things like, "I'm your coach! Please? Someone just step forward and touch the coach." Fissure case is not unusual. There have been over 1,800 reported incidents of inappropriate advances by male coaches of female high school teams. Bob Bona of the "National Association of Men Who Can't Find A Job Coaching Men So We Prey on Women," said, "People don't understand the pressure of coaching young blossoming girls. It's demanding job. Low pay and long hours. Lots of pressure to win. Sometimes a guy just needs to have his back washed. I think Steve Fissure is the victim here."
