SHEFFIELD SCUFFLES WITH BOSOX FANS, ARTEST KICKS ASS BOSTON, MA - The Yankees and Red Sox were at it again the other night in Fenway Park. Gary Sheffield sustained a cut to the lip when a fan swung at him while he fielded Jason Varitek's two run triple to right field. "I felt something hit me in the mouth and then someone dumped a beer on me. I was going to snap but then I figured why not call Ron," Sheffield explained. Immediately following the play Sheffield called Ron Artest, the suspended Indianapolis Pacer on his cell phone. Artest was conveniently in Boston as a pre-cursory move by Yankee management, in case things got out of hand. Artest quickly moved to the right field corner, where he proceeded to beat the living crap out of the whole section. "It was fun, " Artest exclaimed. He went on to say that sitting around all winter was fueling his rage. "It was great to get back and beat some fans," he smiled as he sipped a post-fight bottle of Coors Light. Sheffield was grateful for Artest's effort and he gave the brawler a list of other Bostonians who got on his nerves.
