'A lot' is 2 Words
by Anita Seervold I've been thinking a lot lately. I can't tell you how often I see 'alot' written on the internet. Are people lazy, not wanting to put in the extra time it takes to hit a space bar, or are they just stupid. I believe it is a little of both. In 7th grade a teacher corrected paper I wrote in which I used 'alot'. I saw the teacher's correction and never did it again. Why can't others figure this out? I know I'm not the smartest of the bunch. If I can get it, most of the rest of you can, too. Do you have trouble following instructions? Did no one ever tell you? Are you just an idiot? Maybe my writing this will help all of you. As my husband says it must be my mission in life to help everyone and tell them how to live. So take it from me, 'a lot' is 2 words.
