For when you must scratch that Sports Itch

COLUMBUS, OH - "Do you know how hard it is to win ever game?  The odds are really against us."  said Illinois assistant Athletic director Skip Worthington.  "We wanted to lose, they didn't really beat us."

Ohio State knocked off the  #1 ranked Illini 65-64 with a 3 point field goal at the buzzer by reserve forward Chris Burke, better known from his tv days as Corky from 'Life Goes On'.

"We're not going to cry about this loss, at least not publicly," Illinois coach Bruce Weber said.  "We're saving the tears for when we get knocked out of the tournament in the second round by a piss ant 9th seed."

Burke added, "I did good," to describe his effort in the upset.  "The guys are telling me that I might get some.  But the guys won't tell me what 'some' means."
