Dolphins Cut Fiedler for Being too Smart MIAMI, FL - The Miami Dolphins, cut Jay Fiedler today in a bold rebuilding move. New coach, Nick Saban, at a press conference earlier said, “Jay’s just too smart…didn’t he go to Dartmouth or somewhere?” Fiedler, who has struggled to fill the shoes since Dan Marino’s retirement, expressed resentment. “I’m every bit as good as Dan Marino and my SAT’s were 800 points higher.” Miami never embraced the intellectual aura surrounding Fiedler or the fact that he pushed for a mandatory team summer reading list. Defensive standout, Jason Taylor, commented, “Jay’s a nice guy but he was pushing Rousseau down our throats and face it, a lot of us are post modern deconstructionists.” The Baltimore Ravens immediately claimed Fiedler at the request of Ray Lewis. “I’m looking forward to Jay and I having many a cappuccino while conducting feminist critique on the male hegemony in professional sports.”
