PHILADELPHIA, PA  - Pro Wrestling tycoon Vince McMahon announced on Monday that suspended Temple basketball coach John Cheney will join World Wrestling Entertainment as a manager.  Cheney will manage a team known as The Goons.

"We're thrilled to have Coach Cheney on board," said a gleaming Vince McMahon.  "He's crazy. He'll fit right in."

Cheney is currently serving suspension from coaching due to an incident at a recent Atlantic-10 basketball game where Cheney's Owls lost to Phil Martelli's St. Joe's Hawks.  Cheney sent in a rather large student athlete, Forward Nehemiah Ingram, who in turned broke a hawk in half.

When asked for an explanation of his actions, Coach Cheney blamed the Paul Newman classic 'Slapshot'.  "We don't win because we score more than the other team."  Said Cheney.  "We win because I &^$# with their minds."
