Hot Chick Seated Behind MSU Bench for Ratings AUSTIN, TX - Executives at CBS were happy, but thought they could be happier. "Our ratings were good, very impressive," says Marketing Executive Dan Fielder. "But we thought things could be a little better." Fielder was referring to the strategically placed hot chick behind the Michigan State Bench. Though her identity has not be revealed to JockWeb, rest assured, we noticed her. "She did was she was out there to do - look hot," said Fielder. CBS had no real tasks for her to perform, but set her up with a small TV monitor to make it look authentic. Cameras pointed to the Michigan State bench often, catching glimpses of the blonde vixen at nearly 2 minute intervals. "We couldn't advertise it, at least not yet. The placement was strategic and experimental. If this works, we'll start placing hot chick in the first 3 rows at games. In less important games - we may do other things to boost ratings, like miniskirts or something." It's certainly not the first time network television has placed an attractive woman on TV with nothing to do other than be looked at. Executives at ABC are credited with placing the first truly useless, untalented hot chick on TV with Three's Company's Suzanne Summers. "Of course Suzanne set the standard for being useless and hot," said Fielder. "But we believe we're on to something." On a side note, Fielder stated that interviewing the women is the best part. "As long as my wife doesn't find out."
