GULFPORT, MS  - Deanna Favre, wife of NFL veteran quarterback Brett Favre reports that treatment is going well.  In 2004, Mrs. Favre was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Thankfully, Deanna Favre has announced that treatment is going well and she is on the road to recovery.  But that didn't stop her from adding her opinion on the condition of her husband, Brett.

"It's true, I am getting better.  Hopefully, by the end of 2006 I'll be back to my old self," said an optimistic Deanna.  "My husband, however, is on the downside.  His interceptions are up.  His completion percentage is down.  And no one can figure out what he is trying to do in those playoff loses."

Packer coach Mike Sherman met her statements with mixed emotions.  "I'm happy for her.  I'm sad that Brett has lost his touch."

Perhaps Brett would have more success if he stood up when he threw the ball
