SAN DIEGO, CA  - Frenchman Bruno Peyron broke Steve Fossett's round the world sailing record, finishing his journey in two days and twenty minutes -55 days faster than Fossett's American mark.

"You are a lying, beret wearing cheat," Fossett said in a letter posted on his website. Fossett added, "and your women don't shave their legs or armpits and I'd sleep with Roseanne Barr before I'd sleep with a Frenchwoman."

French President Jacques Chirac said something that was in French and nobody could understand it. President George Bush, in a press conference said, "this is just one more reason to hate those French bastards."

Peyron was greeted on the shores of Brittany by scores of admiring women, who were jostling for the honor of being the first to sleep with the new world record holder and hero of all of France. Peyron winked and said, "Remember, break a record, and sleep with all the chicks." It was in French but that was the gist of it.
