Dick's to Showcase Balls

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - Sporting goods giant Dick's is looking to specialize certain locations to focus mainly on balls.  "We're very excited to announce that Dick's is putting balls out front," said spokesman Harry Paratestis.  "We're very proud of our balls, and now everyone will see that we've got balls."

Dick's is counting on large demand this spring for balls in all forms.  "Golf balls, footballs, baseballs...we've got them.  And we count on the demand for balls.  I mean, it's hard to get in the game, serious or just having fun without balls," said Paratestis.

This by no means is the end of regular Dick's.  "Certainly we're very happy with the performance of Dick's," added Paratestis.  "In fact, we're hoping that by showcasing our balls, it will make regular Dick's seem that much more impressive."

Although there has not been an official name announced for Dick's specialty balls retail stores, plans are moving ahead to expand Dick's this Spring.  Among the names considered are : Scrotums, Nutsack's and Two Rocks in a Sack.
