Lakers Use Psychic to Contact Wilt

El SEGUNDO, CA - The Los Angeles Lakers signed NBA Hall of Famer, Wilt Chamberlain, to a four month contract despite the fact that he passed away in 1999 of cardiac arrest. The Lakers used the unemployed psychic medium, John Edwards, to contact Chamberlain. Edwards commented, "At first, Wilt wasn't much interested. He said there's enough virgins on the other side to even keep Magic Johnson satisfied." After some prodding, Edwards convinced Chamberlain that his spiritual presence might be enough to lift the Lakers over back into the playoffs.

The Lakers, who have struggled since trading star center Shaquille O'Neal, contemplated going after 7'7" retired center, Manute Bol, but settled instead for the dead Chamberlain. Bol, who has struggled with gaining weight, reported adding one pound to his emaciated, 110 lb. frame. Bol is very happy with the weight gain after injecting himself for six months with massive doses of testosterone.

Lakers owner Jerry Buss is ecstatic over the return of Chamberlain. Buss said, "Hopefully, people will be less pissed off at Kobe."
