Controversy in Houston: Rockets Ming 2 People

HOUSTON, TX - At 7'6", Rocket's center Yao Ming is the tallest player in the NBA*.  However it has been discovered that he has some help.

Actually, Yao is in fact the smallest player in the NBA at only 4'1".  Late yesterday Houston Rockets publicist Jenny Fields revealed that Yao is a little person standing on the shoulders of Dave Goodman, an out of work construction worker from Fort Worth, TX.

"They play in one uniform," says Fields "only one person is running and only one pair of hands is free at any given time.  We say it's fair."

NBA commissioner David Stern has not rushed to judgment. "We're going to look at the implications of allowing this.  Before we say no, I'd like to talk to some general managers to see how they feel."

*editors note: Sean Bradley does not qualify as a player.
