It's Your Own fault You're Cold
by Anita Seervold It's summer. Like many men, I work in an office that has certain dress requirement. I wear a tie every day. I don't have the option to wear shorts or sandals. It's currently 100 degrees outside. So you have to forgive me if I turn the air condition to full blast. But all I hear is the women in the office bitching that they are cold. Of course you're cold - you're wearing short skirts with no stocking, a sleeveless shirt and flip flops. I know it's hot outside. Trust me, I know better than you do. I have 2 shirts and a tie on for Christ's sake. Remember - you can put on a sweater, I can't strip down. I'll make you a deal. You wear what I'm wearing to work, and see if you still want the air turned off. You put on a friggin tie and choke yourself for a change, then tell me you're cold. But there is a bigger issue here. Why do women need to complain about every damn thing? No one cares that you are cold. If you are, do something about it. Here's a nice exercise for you: the next time something bugs you - deal with it without telling anyone about it. See if you can do that. I'll bet you can't. No wonder my wife loves writing this stupid column every week. Complaining about something IS a sport to her, and she's the best. |
