ROD HARDY DEVELOPS A "GREAT SHAFT"

Golf equipment guru, Rod Hardy, is at it again. In his never ending pursuit of golf equipment excellence, he announced his latest innovation, the flexible flesh shaft.

Hardy said he got the idea of mixing the traditional graphite with discarded foreskins. The new hybrid shaft has both stiffness for long hitters and plenty of whip for short swingers. In initial focus groups, golfers seemed cautiously enthusiastic.

Women's Professional, Ida Lukedat, said after testing the club, "It got the right combination of stiffness and playfulness, I like the feel." Hardy admitted not all feedback was positive. "I've gotten some negative vibes from rabbis and people on the religious right," Hardy commented from his workshop but, "It's all for the good of the game."
