Former Olympic Swimmer Decides to Let Herself Go

Akron, OH - At age 27, Lisa McReavy is almost 9 years past her Olympic experience.  For the past 8 years, she's been training.  For the past year, she's decided to live it up a little.

"I've been thinking, "says McReavy, "what's this all for?  I swim 10 hours a day and my life just isn't getting any better so I decided to stop."

And McReavy doesn't mean slow to a gradual stop.  This was more like hitting a wall.  "One day, I just didn't want to swim anymore.  so instead of shaving everything down and swimming the whole day, I did what a lot of women my age did - I put on a bikini, laid by the pool, drank beer and ate twinkies.  Add some soap operas on my mini-battery powered tv, and that's what I'm still doing today."

McReavy is said to have gained 35 lbs and taken up smoking and casual sex.  "I got me a lotta catching up to do,"  Says McReavy.

Dr. Hal Broden of the St. Thomas of the Pitiful Miracle Hospital in Cincinnati says what is happening to McReavy is natural.  Many women when they hit the age of 25 begin to let themselves go," says Broden.  "Especially red-necked women."

"You see, when women reach a certain age, when combined with no longer having a need to be attractive, they start eating, stop exercising and well, turn into slobs.  I mean, how many of us brides that looked like supermodels at the wedding, only to look like their Uncle Frank within 5 years?"

Broden continued, "In McReavy's case, she no longer needed to train as her career was obviously finished.  I believe she now expects a man to enter her life...she'll be awfully disappointed at what she will find."

The Dr. also pointed out that since McReavy's natural female laziness had been so repressed for years, it is now surfacing with a vengeance.  The Lifetime network in in negotiation to purchase McReavy's life story.
