Dan Rather Quits Jockweb.com After Only 1 Day NEW YORK, NY - It was too much fun to resist. Dan Rather, the retired CBS News anchor joined the JockWeb team as our lead investigator. However within one day of employment, Rather called it quits again. “When he first arrived,” said JockWeb executive Max Headroom, “we were having a lot of fun yelling ‘what is the frequency, Kenneth – reffering of course to what the lunatic said to him just before kicking the crap out of him. So beating on him became a natural progression.” By mid morning, fellow JockWeb employees were not only asking about the frequency, but also beating up Rather for not answering. “It was just the thing to do,” Said Headroom. “Nothing personal, but what else could we do?” JockWeb accepted Rather’s letter of resignation and does not expect a reconciliation. “Beating on him was too distracting. We’ve got work to do.” Said Headroom.
