AP Investigation: No News

(AP) - The Associated Press is reporting that there is no real sports news going on right now.  According to AP representative Charles Maddie there is really nothing going on.  "There is really nothing going on," said Maddie from his New York office.  "We could make stuff up, but we though, 'why bother?'."

Maddie blames the lack of news on the time of year.  "Women are laying outside sunbathing trying to get that summer tan ready.  Men are watching them from their bedroom windows.  So nothing is really getting done right now."

The stalemate is expected to end soon.  Maddie states that the NFL draft quickly approaching will bring sports out of it's doldrums and back into the news.  The draft takes place April 23 and 24.
