INDIA TAKES KASHMIR DURING CRICKET MATCH While all of Pakistan was glued to the cricket match between Pakistan and Australia, India invaded Kashmir and claimed victory. Indian government spokesperson, Kan I. Singh said, "The whole of Pakistan fell asleep watching the match so we figured it was a good time to take Kashmir." For years the two countries have been on the brink of nuclear confrontation over the contested territory. President Bush commented, "That cricket stuff puts me to sleep too." Reaction from around the world was mixed. The Cameroon President, Ubungi Cord released a statement saying, "Countries who like cricket beware, you are vulnerable to invasion. Why heck, we could be a world power in no time." It has been known for years that cricket causes mass sleeping but until now, no one used it as a political or military strategy. President Bush added, "I guess if you had to choose between nuking them or letting them play cricket, it's probably cheaper with the cricket."
